California Man Goes Viral For His Music-Fueled Protest of a Dental OfficeAs Layne Barton looked for a dental clinic for his 14-year-old son's braces, he came across Western Dental and Orthodontics. Upon checking its reviews on Google and seeing that it has a rating above 4.5, Barton thought it "probably [had] a good crew down there," so he chose the office. The first appointment turned out to be "really good," and Barton looked forward to the next. Unfortunately, the "really good" experience did not last long. The following appointments were not pleasant experiences for Barton and his son. The appointments were over an hour or two hours late, and there was one instance where the office lost the son's appointment. But the final straw for Barton was when the office no longer answered his calls after they had some problem with his son's surgery. When that happened, Barton snapped, and he decided he would need to protest again using his guitar. He did that before when his former boss refused to pay him, and he got his money. This time, he'll do it for his son, and he'll do it so that people can avoid what he experienced. On one sunny day, Barton set up his amp and a sign which said "Western Dental Sucks" outside the dental office. There, he shredded his guitar. Barton's action became viral on social media, and eventually, the office contacted him and informed him that they were willing to give him a full refund.Barton advises people to take Google reviews with a grain of salt, or they might "get duped" just like him.(Image Credit: @ferngalvn via Twitter)#Music #Protest #RockandRoll #DentalClinic
One Man Orchestra: Cellist Cremaine Booker Performed Gabriel Fauré's "Pavane" Piece for 12 Cellos All by HimselfThe more the merrier simply doesn’t apply here. The pandemic has driven artists to get creative with showcasing their work, one such example is what cellist Cremaine Booker, also known as That Cello Guy on the internet, pulled off recently. He performed an orchestral version of Pavane, a 1887 music composed by Gabriel Fauré that was originally a 12-cello piece, all by himself. Booker, a principal cello of the Nashville Philharmonic Orchestra, performed each of the twelve parts before putting them all together with the magic of editing. The result is a beautiful one-man orchestral performance. The biggest challenge, he admitted, was getting the timing right for all the takes. But the result, as we can see, is totally worth all that jazz.#cello #cellist #ThatCelloGuy #CremaineBooker #GabrielFaure #Pavane #music #orchestra
The Butts RemixHow many songs can you think of that are about butts? I bet they are in this medley. And I would bet there are some you forgot about, since they are from different eras and genres of music. Home Free is an a cappella group that is technically listed as "country," and they start off with a country song ("Honky Tonk Badonkadonk" by Trace Adkins), but then they seamlessly slide into pop, rock, and rap butt songs you know and love.
