On February 5, 2022, 29-year-old Gareth Murphy enjoyed a full day of happy hours as he broke a world record. Murphy, an IT worker from Caernarfon, Wales, has just made the Guinness World Record for the most pubs visited in 24 hours. He visited and drank at 56 different pubs across Cardiff, breaking a previous record of 51 set by Englishman Matt Ellis in 2021.Although the challenger is not required to drink alcohol at every establishment he visits, Gareth must make the employees of each pub sign a logbook that confirms he purchases a drink at the joint.Gareth has set his eyes on breaking the world record ever since he read about Matt Ellis’ feat in 2021. Kempel decided to do this to honor his wife’s pregnancy, which ran for 27 weeks and 3 days by running exactly 27.3 miles. The Idaho resident also carried a sign with him during the marathon, which said: “anything is possible.” “I repeat that phrase all the time — and it seems to be working. The other day, my daughter was like, ‘I can’t lift this,’ and then she stopped and said, ‘Wait — anything is possible,’” he explained to TODAY Parents. He was able to do 23 pull-ups from one of the helicopter’s skids while it hovered several feet above the land.
