In “<a href="https://lastplacecomics.com/cells-at-overwork/">Cells at Overwork</a>” (the title of which is clearly a reference to the manga and anime series&nbsp;<a href="https://myanimelist.net/anime/37141/Hataraku_Saibou_TV">Cells at Work</a>), webcomic artist Zach Cranor shows a severely mismanaged body failing to stay competitive in the modern marketplace.

Cells should not be used as slave labor, let alone as slaves that are worked inefficiently by a management system that is committed to short-term profits at the expense of long-term prosperity.
