There, I Mashed It Up

The YouTube channel There, I Ruined It has rightfully gathered internet acclaim for its brilliantly precise remixes of famous songs with very different musical styles. I especially enjoyed Gwen Stefani’s “Hollaback Girl” as a ragtime tune and Coolio’s “Gangsta’s Paradise” as a German polka.

Recently, the anonymous YouTuber responsible has been taking a different approach. S/he is mashing up two completely different songs to create results that are perfectly, offensively funny. The above video takes Rick Astley’s iconic “Never Gonna Give You Up” and puts it to the tune of the Star Wars “Imperial March” as stormtroopers board and seize the Tantive IV.
