Broadcast journalism is hard. You think you're going to tell people important news but it can fall apart easily, and often live on the air. It's not easy to say "administering Fooser's boozer boster dose," especially when that's not at all what the teleprompter says. And when you screw up, you know that it's been recorded to video. The funnier it is, the more likely it will go viral, and it will certainly make the end-of-the-year compilation reel. So in the midst of serious news that might bring you down, let's look back on the year in local news (and even network news) and the many failures that were recorded for posterity.
