A lot of kids dream of becoming a firefighter when they grow up. For three-year-old Oliver Lipinski, that’s way too long, and so the boy walked into the Parksville Volunteer Fire Department (PVFD)'s headquarters with a resume in hand to apply for a position. And guess what, he got the job!
The whole thing started when his parents drove him by the firehouse during recruitment campaign season a few weeks prior. Immediately, Oliver made it known that he wished to become a firefighter, too. His parents then began helping him prepare a resume detailing his education, experience, and keen interest in firefighting.
On the last day of recruitment, Oliver, dressed in full firefighting getup, came to hand in his application. Not only that, the toddler showed remarkable knowledge about firefighting and its safety precautions for his age. In the end, the boy is deemed qualified for the 2034 recruit class as a junior member. The future is definitely looking bright for him!
