Another Photo of Putin's Long Table Sparked Even More More Internet Memes
Following the infamous meeting with French President Emmanuel Macron that launched a thousand memes of comically lengthy meeting table, Russian leader Vladimir Putin is yet again in another table saga.
A televised meeting between Putin, foreign minister Sergei Lavrov and Defense Minister Sergei Shoigu made its way online and the internet once again had a field day.
Image of Putin sitting at the end of an absurdly long table while his deputies sat at the other end has attracted hordes of hilarious reactions in social media. One meme had the table edited to resemble a sushi conveyor belt. Another photoshopped it to look like a bowling alley. One very creative poster even parodied an IKEA ad selling an extremely long table named “Putin”.
One theory suggests that the measure was taken due to Putin’s paranoia of contracting COVID-19.
