Radio Station Purgatory: Seattle Mazda Drivers' Car Radio Stuck at KUOW 94.9 FMHundreds of Mazda owners are stuck on a loop of KUOW radio broadcasts when their audio systems suddenly experienced a glitch. Mazda drivers from the Puget Sound region have been reporting to KUOW, an NPR station in Seattle, that their radio for some reason is fixed on playing their station. Local Mazda dealerships have also been notified of the strange occurrence and remain baffled about the cause.While it isn’t clear yet what caused this mass glitches, there is a possibility that the recent shift by phone companies to a 5G signal might be to blame. Many cars, still equipped with 3G signal, could be incompatible with the newer 5G. A KUOW representative has announced that they are in contact with Xperi, the company behind HD Radio’s technology to look into the issue.
