They were married at the age of 10 and 12. Marrying at a young age was common for orphans, to ensure that they will not be wed outside their faith and culture. Aside from the usual challenges in their relationship, the couple has faced extreme poverty and persecution. They were one of the pioneer Yemen Jews to move to Israel when the state was founded. They had 11 children and 64 grand and great-grandchildren.Living in a generation where romance is viewed differently, this one is a very inspiring story that shows that love is real and alive.
