Spanish Spoken with a Southern Accent Is Wonderfully Horrible
Ford Quarterman is a good ol’ boy of the South—or at least does a very convincing impression of one that is instantly recognizable from my years in Alabama. In other videos, Quarterman uses something a lot more like a conventional Mid-Atlantic accent, so we can assume that his Southern drawl is an act.Quarterman is also fluent in Spanish and travels widely in Latin America. When he speaks Spanish, he doesn’t always try to reflect, say, a Mexican accent. Here is a combination of Southern and Spanish as Quarterman visits a lake in the mountains of Peru. He calls it Laguna de Gatorade because he attributes the Electric Blue flavor of Gatorade to its waters.-via Laughing Squid#accents
