Normally, I’m very rushed when grocery shopping and choose self-checkout because it takes less time and requires less human interaction than a human-operated register does. But perhaps, instead, I should pause for a moment to checkout what I’m delivering to the grocery store as well as taking back home.
Artist Tommy Siegel notes that this New Yorker-style cartoon was, in fact, rejected for publication by the New Yorker. Perhaps the editor who made the decision lacked the aesthetic self confidence that these shoppers possess.
