Trouble Finds American Woman Who Was Walking Her Cow In Moscow

Yikes.

A New York City resident was retained by Russian police during her trip to Moscow. The woman, Alicia Day, was simply walking her pet cow named Dr. Calf. Look, while this is just outright hilarious, knowing the culture and strict rules in the country, you actually will say: “Of course, she got arrested!”

According to Day, she was walking her cow in the city’s Red Square for five minutes when she was approached and arrested by the officials. "I didn't think it would be a bigger problem than walking a dog," she told NPR, which they note, does not sound convincing at all. "I would only imagine someone would say 'you should leave.' "

The 34-year-old was sentenced to 13 days in prison and a fine of 20,000 rubles (approximately $285). While that seems like a minor punishment, Day was banned from entering Russia again for 40 years… over something like walking a cow.
