In Texas, you can drive for a couple of days and never leave the state. And why would you want to, anyway? There’s so much to see and do. Almost every biome except tundra is available for your vacation destination desires, as well as a seemingly infinite variety of cultural experiences.
Redditor /u/delugetheory lives in Texas (well, technically—he’s in Austin) and makes maps illustrating novel criteria about it. A few years ago, he composed this map showing how the enterprising Texan could travel across the globe without leaving the state. Almost a full day of driving is necessary, but at least you’ll never be more than a few minutes away from great barbecue.
