Troy Hawke from the Greeter's Guild talks to customers as they enter the British hardware store B&Q. If this had happened in America, people would laugh and then tell the store management that the greeter is hilarious. But this is Britain, where people don't want to be told what to do, even if it's "have a nice day." It's not the first failure Hawke has seen, although Marks and Spencer's was a little nicer about it.

You can understand why a business would not want someone who isn't an employee representing themselves as an employee, but I will never understand why customers would complain about someone welcoming them into a store. especially someone as witty as Troy Hawke. -via reddit
