The Singing Spanish Teacher

David Wickenden, a Spanish and French teacher at the British International School of Boston, has a flair for dramatically teaching of something as mundane as grammar. In this video, he sings a song that takes students through the present tense in Spanish to the melody of “We’re off to See the Wizard.”

Mr. Wickenden is just getting started. Here’s a song for the preterite tense, which is a type of past tense. It’s to the tune of “Three Blind Mice.” The irregular form of this tune uses “Favorite Things” as the tune.

He can dance, too. Mr. Wickenden can cha-cha with the near future tense.
