With the pandemic, the lack of opportunities, and rising prices— food and other living necessities are expensive right now. From fast food value meals being more expensive to pantry essentials more difficult to obtain – we need all the research and effort to find places where you can actually get food for a good value.
Some are scaling back how much they eat while others are opting to not buy expensive ingredients. Another option to lower the costs of food is looking for places that sell items at a lower or more affordable price. As much as possible, it’d be best to avoid the places that with overpriced goods.
House Beautiful’s Gabby Romero lists some places in the US that sell food and other essentials for a high price to the point that they get ridiculous. For example, don’t go inside places that sell water for $25 per bottle.
That’s just stupid. One of the establishments mentioned by Romero is the celebrity and influencer favorite Erewhon Market, a health food store in Los Angeles. The location is known for its wildly expensive groceries, which include bread loaves for $25 apiece, and the $17 “Hailey Bieber skin smoothies.”
