This story truly defines ‘blessing in disguise’.
Los Angeles resident LaQuedra Edwards was about to select her favorite $40 scratch-off tickets on a lottery vending machine when someone bumped into her, causing her to accidentally push a wrong number. The man just bumped into her, didn't say a thing and simply walked out the door.
She was annoyed to have spent most of her money on a ticket she didn't even want. But things soon took a 180 when she scratched the unwanted ticket and it turned out she had won the $10 million top prize. With the money, Edwards plans to buy a house and start a non-profit organization.
The bizarrely awesome story occurred in November 2021, but the California Lottery shared the story only this month.
