You know, even smart people make mistakes – they are humans, after all. This professor humbly shares his own mishap with the Internet to show that teachers are not infallible. Aside from their tedious schedule and tasks, they are also under extreme pressure to be a perfect example to their students. Sometimes they do make mistakes.
Joseph Mullins, an economics professor, shared a funny encounter on Twitter. According to him, he was waiting for his 40 students to show up for class, only to realize that no one was gonna come to that day’s session. Disappointed, he started to send an email asking why no one was there. "Today, nobody showed up to my 8.15 am class. 0 students of about 40. Sitting in the empty room, I email them, trying to disguise my hurt feelings,” He wrote in the Twitter thread.
It turns out that the situation was not what he thought it was. “2 mins later, I get a reply: 'Professor, we think you might be in the wrong room'. So anyway, off I go to live in a hole forever," Mullins wrote, explaining to the Internet that he got disoriented and went into the wrong room. His class was waiting in the room above where he was. "I went to the room exactly beneath the correct one, which happens to look identical in every way," he explained.
