You got to admit, it’s kinda funny.
Japan is not the only home to these high-tech 3D billboards. One placed in Bonifacio Global City in the Philippines can be seen by many workers, residents, and passers-by as well. The said billboard seamlessly wraps around a portion of the One Bonifacio High Street Mall, just right above a coffee shop. So this means that there’s really high visibility for advertisements and announcements.
This also means that people can clearly see when mistakes are happening. A video posted by Reddit user u/BukPlayzlol has been making rounds showing a fun little mishap. The footage shows the operator of the billboard frantically scrambling for the right file to display. You can actually see the mouse moving around, as the entire desktop screen was on the 3D device. “I really felt the operator panic haha,” one user wrote.
One user had a guess as to why the netizens can feel the panic of the person manning the billboard. “[...]Especially because they are probably billing by the minute. Every minute of the ad not displayed is a revenue loss so that would really cause you to panic,” another user replied.
