Aaron Gage discovered that the classic Christmas carol "Deck the Halls" has the same lyric rhythm as Black Sabbath's 1970 song "War Pigs." A couple of years ago, he shared that discovery with us in a video that went viral. This song sets the Christmas lyrics to the tune of the Black Sabbath anthem. By popular demand, he expanded the song to its full length last Christmas. For the longer version, he incorporated the lyrics of "God Rest Ye, Merry Gentlemen" in the middle, too.
Music teacher Shelly Ley (@shellylaylaylala) went just a bit further. Not only does she put the Christmas lyrics to the heavy metal tune, but this performance with her husband Chuck Hawley then reverses and they sing the "War Pigs" lyrics to the tune of "Deck the Halls"!
