Hawaiian Pizza Order Fail

This one’s a bit hilarious!

Someone in that pizza establishment was probably feeling a bit goofy that day. Redditor u/Spacemancleo, whose real name is Dillan, posted an image of what looks like a pizza slice order that came into their home in the r/mildlyinfuriating subreddit. He shared the story of how his father ordered a Hawaiian pizza with pineapple on the side.

What came in was pizza with lines of sliced pineapples on the side of the pizza. “Technically correct, I suppose,” Dillan said in the post that has been upvoted more than 18,000 times, and as well as quickly leaped to the front page of Reddit. What one would expect after ordering something on the side is a separate container full of pineapples. It turns out that the pizza worker in charge of Dillan’s father’s order was a bit imaginative. “Exactly what a Dad would serve you if you asked for pineapple on the side,” one Redditor commenter.

Dillan’s father, Jeff, was even more shocked that his son’s post about the pizza went viral. “I have ordered Hawaiian pizza that way for a long time, pineapple on the side. I’m just not a big cooked fruit person,” Jeff told TODAY.com. “It took me a little bit as I was looking at it before I realized actually what they might have been thinking and that seemed funny to me.”

According to him, he got that order from a pizza place that specializes in customizable slices in Albuquerque, New Mexico area. “What they do is they have cheese pizza ready to go and when you tell them what kind of pizza you want, they warm up the toppings and put it onto the slice of cheese pizza,” Dillan further explained. “My dad just took a photo and sent it to my sister and I for a laugh and he moved on with his day.”
