If you watch American football with the sound off, what you'll see is a lot of people yelling and screaming, dancing, and gesturing wildly. I believe that's because they can't hear a thing. There is also a sports game involved, but that is a relatively small part of the broadcast. In the hands of a talented video editor, all that yelling can be converted into a rather interesting opera performance.
