We don’t have an Elf on the Shelf in my home. There’s no point. My cat, who loves messing with the Christmas tree so much that we had to move it outside, would preemptively murder it.

Unfortunately for his resident Elf on the Shelf, the local water dish was a major safety hazard. He leaned in too far to get a drink and accidentally drowned. It’s a shame. Alas, there will be no way to get a replacement before it’s time to put the tree away.
