Seen on I-5 going north from Portland to Seattle on November 2021. This semi-trailer truck had a big sticker on the back saying "Don't like trucks? Stop buying Shit. Problem Solved!"
There ARE a lot of trucks on the highway, and here in Oregon, there are even triple-trailer trucks driving alongside regular cars on the road. According to the American Trucking Associations, there are nearly 38 million trucks on the road in 2019.
The grumpy trucker has a point: according to data from the US Census Bureau and the Bureau of Transportation Statistics, $10.4 trillion of the $14.5 trillion of the value of all goods shipped in the United States in 2017 are carried by trucks. That's 71.6% of all packages shipped. That's a LOT of stuff!
