For those who can’t sit straight, definitely.
Are you familiar with the joke, ‘bisexual people can’t sit straight?’ Well, if not, now you are: it has been a long-standing joke in the community. Initially starting as something for fun, it did become a stereotype– as a lot of bisexuals found themselves really not good at sitting properly until it became a meme. It’s not really a bad thing, as they actually did embrace the joke. Other stereotypes include not being able to drive, do math, or even ride a bike.
One father knew of these stereotypes, and said to himself: ‘I’ll make the right chair for my daughter.’ So, allow us to introduce to you Israel Walker’s wonderful creation, the ‘bi-chair.’ He was inspired by Má Matiazi, an artist who created a design for the furniture. "Designed for people who can't sit straight," she wrote. Walker asked for her permission to use her design to make the chair come to life, which she granted.
Now, the results have been shared on Facebook. “It was very unexpected when he [Israel Walker] spoke to me. I was in disbelief people could be so hyped about my [crappy] sketch!" she told Bored Panda. "Israel was very kind, he spoke to me very respectfully, which is not something we’re used to as non-famous artists. People usually just come and steal our things, you know? So for being such a nice guy with such a cool daughter, well, I was excited to see this [project] done, he did a great job!" she added.
