Big Jet TV is a YouTube channel that live streams aircraft movement. However, the outlet is particularly popular for its broadcasts during storms, when cameras on the airport perimeter live broadcast for hours. For some odd reason, people like watching planes struggle, huh?
Over 200,000 concurrent live viewers joined the channel’s stream at Heathrow airport during Storm Eunice’s visit. Spectators watched planes struggling to land due to strong winds. Big Jet TV’s founder and host, Jerry Dyer, provides unfiltered and excitable commentary that entertains the watchers of the stream. Dyer can be heard screeching with delight when a pilot pulls off a challenging landing. In addition, the host also praises the pilots and ground teams for their hard work and expertise in landing the aircraft safely in difficult conditions. It’s like watching a live sporting event!
