Oh my, the gang’s all here! It’s like a little live showdown between two factions, too.
A clip shot by guide Mike Botes of the MalaMala Game Reserve in South Africa has made waves online for just how hilarious the situation depicted in it is. Two species, baboons and lions can be seen engaged in a funny waiting game. Baboons were scattered under a bridge, dangling from the beams to avoid being preyed upon.
It’s surprising though that they didn’t run away from the location, instead deciding to have a standoff with the bigger predators. However, the big cats just decided to stay and… chill. The lions can be seen being aware and ignoring the activity beneath them as they soaked in the rays on the bridge.
One brave baboon even tried to taunt the apex predators, Mike Botes shared. Well, it climbed up closer to try and do so, but as if realizing the danger he could possibly be in, decided to quickly scramble away. Hilarious!
“Sometimes, the African bush gives you sightings that are eye-opening and traumatic,” Latest Sightings, where the video was shared and gained traction, wrote. “But on some days like these, the African bush can surprise you and leave you rolling in laughter.”
