The gift of memory can be a great thing, compared to people who forget birthdays, appointments, or how to make breakfast. Many are the folk who stand up to end a Zoom meeting after forgetting that they skipped wearing pants. An elephant would never do that, mainly because they try to avoid Zoom meetings. But a perfect memory also has its downside.
The one thing that will keep you awake at night is the embarrassment you felt over doing that one stupid thing. While everyone else laughs a little inside and goes on, forgetting it ever happened within in hour or so, the elephant never forgets. Pity the poor beast.
