Airline Offers Dog Food in Alleged "Translation Blunder"

The newspaper The Independent implies that the menu has a translation error. I’d say that further evidence is necessary before reaching that conclusion.

Conrad Wu, a traveler on China Eastern Airlines, was on a flight in business class that offered not only a meal, but an entire menu of gourmet meals to choose from. Would you like to have grilled steak? How about shrimp balls, Thai red curry, or asparagus cream soup? Or, for the gourmands with especially demanding palates, try the dog food.

And it’s not ordinary dog food, but imported dog food.

I’ll pass. It comes with okra, which is a food unfit for human consumption.
